This coming March at the Safety in Action conference, we will be unveiling an upgrade to the only behavior-based safety system verified by independent research.
A recent study out of the University of Cambridge Judge School of Business showed that DEKRA’s behavior-based safety system, BAPP® (Behavioral Accident Prevention Process), was not only effective at reducing injuries year over year, but it also showed why some organizations made gains that exceeded the three-year average of 45% fewer incidents.
It’s true. BAPP technology is proven to reduce incidents by 25% in year one, 35% in year two, and 45% by year three (after controlling for baseline average and trends). These are remarkable results, but we plan to make them even better. The Cambridge research has given us new insight into our process and revealed reliable pathways to sustainable success.
We will be discussing these insights and the opportunities they present to more effectively reap the benefits of behavioral safety. Safety in Action attendees get a front row seat, with sessions on how to transition to an exposure reduction system with a lighter footprint, faster results, better sustainability, and powered by today’s technology.
Safety in Action takes place March 15–16, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. Pre-conference development workshops begin on March 12, offering early arrivals the chance to really dig into critical focus areas in an interactive, small-group setting. On Wednesday, March 14, managers, supervisors, and contractors from leading industries will gather for the Leadership Summit—a one-day forum for networking and discussion of the most salient issues shaping safety today. And just like past years, during the opening ceremonies will honor safety’s action heroes—those ICONS who made an Inspirational, Influential, or Innovative Contribution to Safety.
